About the founder
Michaela is the founder of SheThrives, a website dedicated to empowering women in their personal and professional lives. With over two decades of experience in the dot com, start-up, digital, creative and marketing space. She started SheThrives because she saw a lack of women mentors and support in her early career in the male-dominated dot com industry in the 1990s in Australia. This trend continued throughout her career and she has experienced toxic workplaces, misogony, physical and sexual harassment in the workplace.
Michaela's experiences have made her aware of the disadvantages women face in the workplace and is committed to changing the status quo by advocating for gender equality and providing actionable tips and advice to help women succeed.
Michaela's mission is to provide a platform where women can find resources, inspiration, and a community to help them thrive. She values inclusion, equality, and empowerment, and invites readers to contribute to the community through their stories, experiences, and feedback.
